In 1982, Ypsilanti Baptist Temple was founded by Pastor Dana Ramsey and his lovely wife Reva Ramsey (both whom have went on Home to be with the Lord) and their their two daughters, (Karen and Connie) in their family's home, right here in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

When God began blessing Pastor Ramsey and his little flock with a rapid growth, Pastor Ramsey and the members began looking for another place to worship and practice their faith.  After months and years of renting various churches and school auditoriums, Ypsilanti Baptist Temple made its permanent home here at 1325 E. Cross Street - Ypsilanti, Michigan 48198.

Ypsilanti Baptist Temple was blessed to have Pastor Ramsey lead their flock from 1982 to October 1993, when God called him home.  Mrs. Ramsey (referred to as "Mom Ramsey" by so many) remained a strong pillar of the church until the Lord saw fit to call her home in June 2006.  Karen and Connie, along with their families, still continue to be active members and great Godly Christian influences here at Ypsilanti Baptist Temple.
